A portrait showing King Charles III, The Queen Consort and The Prince and Princess of Wales posing side by side has been revealed.
This new picture was taken on the night the Royal Family hosted world several leaders before Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral on September 18.
Charles was officially announced as King of the United Kingdom on September 10 in a ceremony that took place in the State Apartments of St. James’s Palace in London.
“The crown of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is solely and rightfully come to the Prince Charles Philip Arthur George,” the clerk to the council read.
“We do now hereby with one voice and consent of tongue and heart publish and proclaim that the Prince Charles Philip Arthur George is now by the death of our late Sovereign of happy memory become our only lawful and rightful liege lord, Charles III.”

Meanwhile, William and Kate were proclaimed Prince and Princess of Wales by the new King one day after the Queen passed away on September 8. Wales is reportedly a special place for the couple, who lived there when young Prince George was born.
