Former President John Agyekum Kufour has urged Ghanaians to staunchly defend the country’s peace.
“Peace is everything in life,” said former president John Agyekum Kufuor, when he was visited by the United Nations Peace Ambassador to Ghana, Dr Samuel Ben Owusu on September 5, 2022.
During the meeting, the former President assured the UN Peace Ambassador of his commitment to the development of national and African peace through democratic leadership and social impact.
He maintained that Africa can only grow if “we understand that the people are first and that peace is everything in life.”
Ambassador Dr Samuel Owusu on the other hand used the occasion to solicit his support and commitment to the peace awareness campaign and advocacy that will be launched under his leadership.
He also asked the former president to extend his capable hands to assist Ghana in overcoming its current economic difficulties if the need arose.
Mr Kufuor also assured Dr Owusu of his support and encouraged him in his work for peace in Ghana..
