Kate Winslet rushed to hospital following accident on film set

Kate Winslet will resume filming this week.

Kate Winslet has been rushed to hospital after an accident on a film set in Croatia.

The actress was filming the movie Lee when the incident happened.

Producers urged her to go to hospital as a precautionary measure.

A rep for the actress stated, “Kate slipped and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure required by the production. She is fine and will be filming, as planned, this week.”

Winslet will star as WWII correspondent Lee Miller in the drama.

The film follows the former fashion model after she became an acclaimed war correspondent for Vogue magazine during World War II.

Winslet said it is an honour to portray Lee Miller.

Speaking to Deadline, the Titanic actress said that she wants people to know about Lee’s incredible life.

“To make a story about Lee’s whole life, that’s a series worth for HBO. What we wanted to do was find the most interesting decade in her life, the one that defined who she was and what she became because of what she went through.”

“It was the period from 1938-1948 that took her right through the war and her most defining time. That is the story we want people to know about Lee more than the many other parts of her life.”

Jude Law, Josh O’Connor, and Andy Samberg will also star in the movie.
