‘Breaking the 8’; NPP is dreaming – Financial analyst

A financial analyst, Clement Opoku-Kyeremanteng is wandering why the governing New Patriotic Party is campaigning to break the eight year record in the political history of Ghana.

The NPP government led by president Akufo-Addo is campaigning strongly to achieve its “Breaking the 8″agenda.  Nana Akufo-Addo has declared ‘Breaking the 8’ would be his last greatest achievement in politics.

“I want to end by making one appeal to you; I want you to help me to achieve the last great political feat of my career in Ghanaian politics.

“That on the 7th of January 2025, I will go to Black Star Square and hand over the baton to our next NPP President of the Republic who we would have chosen, supported and brought to victory. President Akufo-Addo stated.

But speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Mr Clement said, the NPP know what they are preaching about is a mere talk and maybe dreaming.

“They (NPP) are not serious about what they are saying (breaking the 8). Am shocked at their performance and they still believe they can win, how?  Because what Mahama left for us….the Dollar at GHc4.30, we voted against him. You have taken it Ghc10, what shows with your Ghc10,  you can win…maybe they are dreaming.” He stressed.

The financial analyst believes Ghanaians are discerning and cannot be taking for granted any more.

“President Akufo-Addo should ask himself why he won with only 4.9 percent margin in 2020, unlike 49 percent in 2016.

“Looking at my facts on the ground and the knowledge I have in the political history, Ghanaians, you can never take us for granted, don’t ever do that…that taking us for fools, you lie.” He told Kwesi Parker Wilson host of the show.
