AKA, a South African rapper, was shot and killed. His name was Kiernan Jarryd Forbes.
He allegedly died in a drive-by shooting on Florida Road on Friday night, per information from the Durban police.
Around 10 p.m. on Friday, some individuals in two cars are thought to have started shooting at the rapper.
AKA, who was scheduled to celebrate his birthday at the Stamford Hill YUGO nightclub in Durban (South Africa), was killed in a drive-by on Florida Road.
AKA was reportedly shot and killed in a drive-by shooting while he was standing outside the Wish Restaurant.
Another unidentified individual, believed to be a close friend of the musician, was also killed, along with AKA’s bodyguard.

The singer, who was born and raised in Cape Town, rose to prominence after the publication of his debut studio album, Altar Ego, and the hit “Victory Lap” (2011).
He became well-known in Nigeria after releasing the popular song “Fela in Versace.” The rapper has collaborated with Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning Nigerian musician.
After endorsing xenophobic violence against Nigerians residing in South Africa, AKA stirred uproar.
Burna Boy broke off his relationship with the rapper as a result of the remark and vowed never to return to South Africa.
