Salah ready for Liverpool vs Real Madrid final: We have a score to settle

He picked up a first-half injury when they last met in the showpiece event

Mohamed Salah admitted after Liverpool‘s win against Villarreal on Tuesday night that he would like to face Real Madrid over Manchester City in the Champions League final.

The 29-year-old’s wish is now going to come true, as Los Blancos beat the Citizens 3-2 on Wednesday night to advance through to the final with a 6-5 victory on aggregate.

“We have a score to settle,” Salah tweeted after the Real Madrid game had finished.

The incident that Salah is referring to dates back to the 2018 Champions League final, when Liverpool faced Real Madrid and the Egyptian forward sustained an injury from Sergio Ramos that forced him off in the first half. Los Blancos then went on to lift the trophy.

Now, although Ramos has since moved on and is no longer playing for the club, Salah will be out for revenge when the two teams meet in Paris on May 28.
