Sebastian Barnes, a former Ghanaian international player, has set his sights on the vacant coaching position of Accra Hearts of Oak, saying he is the Phobians’ solution.
Around 1991-1995, Barnes played for Hearts of Oak and was a member of the Ghana team that took part in the FIFA World U17 Championships in 1991 and 1993.
“I am the only solution for Hearts of Oaks, Matimatical!.” Barnes wrote on his Facebook page.
After the resignation of Serbian trainer Kosta Papic, the Phobians are trying to name a substantive head coach.
Barnes has previously managed Bayer Leverkusen’s U17 side and is the holder of the UEFA License B.
The 44-year-old played for Leverkusen, FSV Mainz 05, VfL Hamm/Sieg, and Orlando Sundogs, the American side.
