The House of Bishops announced that Stanley Ntagali, the former Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, committed adultery, which they say he confessed in a letter.
The bishops denounced the act in a declaration released yesterday morning and recognized it (adultery) as an individual’s sin in the person of Archbishop (Stanley) Ntagali.
“The Church of Christ stays healthy and clean,” said the Bishops in a statement made by Rev. Can William Ongeng, Provincial Secretary of the Church of Uganda.
“The House (of bishops) decided that Bishop Ntagali should be treated in accordance with the Canons of the Church of Uganda,” the statement reads, adding that “the House appointed a team to minister to the parties concerned and to members of their families.”
